DIPLOMAS OF HORTICULTURE

AWARDS THROUGHOUT N.Z. The New Zealand Institute of Horticulture has granted 50 diplomas throughout New Zealand. The following awards have been made in the Auckland district:—Professor A. P. W. Thomas, Messrs. F. Carr-Rollett, J. Hunter, G. W. Wright, W. Willcox and A. E. Harding. Others prominent in the list are:—Dr. L. Cockayne, Professor H. B. Kirk, Messrs. H. Baillie, of Wellington, F. J. Nathan and P.. Black, of Palmerston North, G. T. Maunder, of Gisborne, D. Tannock, of Dunedin, and J. A. McPherson, of Invercargill. About 20 applications are still before the institute for consideration.
