Director Frank Tuttle, who directed Adolphe Menjou in many of his successes, notably “His Private Life,” in which Menjou played with his wife, Kathryn Carver, worked with the star again in his latest comedy hit, “Marquis Preferred,” which will be shown at the Lyric Theatre again this evening. Tuttle is a specialist in this type of comedy picture, and utilises every art known to the moving picture set to bring out the line shades of meaning in the stories. In “Marquis Preferred” he has one of the best vehicles ever asigned to Menjou with which to work. The second feature,- “The Noose,” is regarded as one of the most dramatic stories in which Richard Barth el mess has yet appeared. His role of Nickle Elkins, offers him unexampled opportunity to display his rare histrionic talents.
