“STRANGE CARGO” The fine all-talking programme now being presented at the Tivoli Theatre is headed by the mystery-thriller, ‘•Strange Cargo.” The whole of the action of this drama takes place aboard a palatial private yacht far out at sea. At dinner one evening the host, Sir Richard Barclay, is found dead. Before the guests get over the fright, the body disappears, and immediately there ensues a frantic double search for the body and for the murderer. A capable cast of stage players from New York .enact the story. A number of all-talking supporting items are also presented. “BROADWAY BABIES” AT GRAND The first singing, dancing and talking picture from First National-Vita - phone Studios is playing at the Grand Theatre this week, and is bringing the romance and lilting melodies of gay Broadway to the patrons there. “Broadway Babies” is the picture, Alice White is the star, and a big company of singers ami dancers is seen in support of this talented little actress. “Broadway Baby Bolls,” “Jig, Jig, Jigaloo,” “Wishing and Waiting for Love,” written especially for the picture, are being whistled about town since the picture opened here. Charles Delaney plays opposite Miss White and Sally Eilers, Marion Byron, Fred Kohler and Louis Nathe.aux head the supporting cast. YE OLDE PIRATE SHIPPE Another bright and happy dance will be enjoyed on board Ye Olde Pirate Shippe this evening. All the latest and brightest jazz music will be played by the popular combination, Ye Versatile Pirates, until a late hour. . Late transport will be available.
