VICTORIAN FROCK OF PINK GEORGETTE FRILLED TO ANKLES PEACOCK—TATTLEY The quiet but pretty wedding of Isabell Ascroft, second daughter of Mr. and Mrs. F. J. Tattley, of Hamilton, and Frank Gifford, third son of the late Major Henry Peacock, 0.8. E;.. N.Z.C., of Devonport, and Mrs. R. B. Peacock Smith, now of London, was celebrated at St. Peter’s Cathedral, Hamilton, on the evening of December 23. Bishop Cherrington officiated. rppiE bride, who entered the church J on the arm of her father, wore a charming early Victorian frock of

shell pink georgette. The skirt of frills featured the uneven hemline, drooping at the back to the ankles. Her ‘veil was of pale pink tulle, and Avas caught at either side of the head with orange blossom. An early Victorian posy was carried, consisting of pale pink carnations, sweet peas, stock and roses. The bridesmaid, Miss Muriel Barber, wore an exquisite early Victorian frock of pale primrose georgette, dipping at the sides to form an uneven hemline. Her picture hat was of silk crinoline straw, and she carried a pale pink posy. The best man was Mr. R. W. Peacock, brother of the bridegroom. After the ceremony a reception was held at the home of the bride's parents, where Mrs. Tattley received the guests in a frock of nigger brown crepe do chine with floral relief and hat to tone She carried a posy of scarlet sweet peas. In the evening a dance was held in honour of the bride and the bridegroom. The honeymoc/h was spent at. The Mount, Tauranga, and on the Thames Coast.
