NGARUAWAHIA WEDDING

A BOUQUET OF SWEET PEAS AND MAIDEN-HAIR FERN ROGERS—CATELY A large crowd of well-wishers attended at the Church of the Holy Trinity, Ngaruawahia, recently, when Miss Royce Cately, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. F. R. Cately, of Tenfoot Road, Orini, was married to Mr. E. J. Rogers, son of the late E. J. Rogers and Mrs. Rogers, of West Huntly Road, Ngaruawahia. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. Mr. Bush-King, vicar of Huntly. The bride, looking charming in georgette and silver, and carrying a bouqut of white sweet peas and maidenhair fern, entered on the arm of her father. She was' attended by Misses Ngaire Cately, in pink crepe de chine, and Miss Tui Drinkwater, in mauve crepe de chine, as bridesmaids, while Miss B. Cately, in lemon crepe de chine, acted as train-bearer. The bridegroom was attended by his brother, Mr. Jack Rogers, as groomsman, Mr. Andy G otto way being best man. a After the ceremony the guests adjourned to the town hall, where the reoeption was held. In the evening a large number of guests attended at the town hall, where dancing was kept up until a late hour. AN EMBROIDERED VEIL LEPINE—ROGERS The Epiphany Church was the scene of a. very pretty wedding recently, when Hilda, daughter of Mrs. Lepine, of Grey Lynn, was married to Charles, son of Mrs. Rogers, of Surrey Crescent. The Rev. R. G. Coats was the officiating minister. The bride, who entered the church on the arm of her brother-in-law, Mr. Shaw, looked charming in a frock of ivory georgette under a veil of beautifully embroidered silk tulle, which hung in folds to form a train, and was held in place with orange blossoms and silver leaves. She carried a shower bouquet of white blossoms and maidenhair fern.

Two maids were in attendance. Miss Agnes Stringer and Miss Mavis Lepine, who wore frocks of lemon and mauve crepe de chine, respectively. Both wore bandeaux of tulle and pearls, and carried bouquets to tone. Mr. Gordon Stringer fulfilled the duties of best man.*

After the reception the bride and bridegroom left for Rotorua.
