CHURCH PROGRESS

BELMONT PRESBYTERIANS The annual meeting of the congregation of the Belmont Presbyterian Church was held on Tuesday evening. Reports were received from the Session. Board of Management, Sabbath school, lady associates, Bible classes. Girls’ Efficiency and Life-saving Club: Boys’ Club, and Young Worshippers’ League, and all showed that excellent progress has been made. Various improvements have been carried out on the church property, and the mortgage reduced. The total income for the period was £829. The year opened with a debit of £35, and closed with a debit of £l. The outstanding feature of the year's work was the raising of the church from church extension status to that of a fully sanctioned charge, with the Rev. S. J. Atkins as permanent minister.

Messrs. Collett, Sexton, Roberts and Kessell were re-elected as managers.
