DISCORD OVER BAND
COUNCILLOR LEAVES MEETING SAYS HE WILL RESIGN From Our Own Correspondent CAMBRIDGE, Today. A “breeze” between the Mayor, Mr. C. H. Priestley, and Cr. P. T. Glanville occurred at the meeting of the Cambridge Borough Council last evening, which resulted in the latter leaving the council room and stating that he would resign his seat. f The trouble' arose over differences of opinion between the Mayor and Cr. Glanville over the band. The Alayor said the Band Committee had not been tactful in dealing with the bandsmen over the trouble with the former bandmaster. Cr. Glanville said the Mayor’s remarks contained several inaccuracies and untrLiths regarding the committee’s actions. The Mayor had made a deliberate attack on him and the Band Committee, and he, Cr. Glanville, would no longer sit with the Alayor.
The Mayor said tfyat Cr. Glanville had the question in his own hands, whereupon the latter rose and left the council room.
