GAY FANCY DRESS FUNCTION MANY PRIZES AWARDED A most successful and enjoyable function was held in the Pavilion. Rotowaro, on Friday evening, when the Citizens’ League held a children’s fancy dress ball. Decorations were carried out in gaily coloured streamers and balloons. The duties of AT.C. were ably attended to by Air. Scurr, Miss Turner and Air. Pendleton supplying the music. During the evening the costumes were judged and the following prizes awarded: Best home-made costume: Boy, Francis Alottram; girl. Jack Mottram. Best hired costume: Girl, Mary Featherstone, 1; Lucy Bullough. 2. Best comic: Boy, David Boyd: girl, Grace Coan. Best paper costume: Boy, Harry Fraser: girl. Alargaret Le Seur. Alost original costume: Boy, Ikey Awa; girl. Yolande Wright. Poster costume: Boy, Everard Wright: girl. Jean Bulloch: Best couple under school age: Guy Scurr and Nixon Hildrebrand. Best couple, school age: Georgie Cloutt and Ikey Awa. Best boy, under school age: Keith Dooley: girl, Ailsa Wright. Consolation: Percy and Eva McCallum. Harry Fraser and Joan Bullough.
