FAREWELL COMMITTEE MEETS

ARRANGEMENTS FINALISED The Lady Alice Fergusson farewell reception committee met at the Town Hall yesterday morning to finalise arrangements for the .gathering which is to be held in the Town Hall on January 3 at three o’clock to bid farewell to her Excellency prior to leaving for England. There were present the Mayoress, Mrs. A. D. Campbell: Airs. W. R. Wilson, Mrs. P. A. Lindsay, Mrs. Mitchell, Airs. A. M. Ferguson, Airs. Bradstreet, Mrs. A. Mulgan, Mrs. G. Coats, Mrs. Alfred Kidd, Mrs. Cammell, Miss Carnachan and the hon. secretary, Airs. McNair. The arrangements were discussed and various suggestions considered. Women wishing to obtain tickets must do so before December 28. They may be obtained at the Girl Guide headquarters, the Y.W.C.A., from Mrs. McNair and from their own organisations.
