Popular Saturday Evening Rendezvous A delightful evening was spent at Dixieland on Saturday by a large number of dancers, the cabaret making a most effective setting for the many charming frocks worn. Mr. Harry Neilson and his orchestera provided bright and enjoyable music, with several new and attractive numbers. Among those present were: Mrs. A. Larkin, who wore a becoming frock of apricot georgette. Mrs. Abel Greening’s smart frock was of scarlet beaded georgette. Mrs. H. Curry was in delphinium blue georgette with a spray of pink sequins on the corsage. Mrs. J. C. Hill (Dunedin) had on a frock of turquoise blue geoi'gette with a black embroidered Spanish shawl. Mrs. A. Presling’s frock was of wedgwood blue satin with a cire lace yoke. Mrs. J. Stewart was wearing a frock of ivory moire with a girdle of diamente. A smart frock of black and steel beaded net was favoured by Mrs. R. Jackson. Mrs. V. Thompson's frock was of blue net over satin of the same shade. Miss B. Robertson was frocked in black taffeta. Miss Scarborough had on white satin with bands of ecru lace. Miss Joan Robertson wore a pretty frock of orange chiffon. Miss Peggy Ford’s frock was of flame and silver taffeta with a skirt formed entirely of frills. Miss E. Craig was wearing a chic frock of parchment tinted lace. Miss B. Adams chose a flowered georgette in emerald green tunings. A chenille frock in pale leaf green was worn by Miss D. O'Leary. Miss Freda Gaudin’s frock was of pale capucine satin and lace. Miss Edna Rhodes wore an unevenlength frock of ivory frilled taffeta. Miss Kitty Horsley’s frock was of palest pompadour pink taffeta. Miss Nance St. Clair Whyte chose a frilled frock of palest lilac. Miss Marie Jones had on a becoming taffeta frock of ivory and water nymph green. Miss Freeman’s frock of palest daffodil satin had a hip bow of flowered taffeta. Miss Rona Suisted chose a smart georgette gown in the new off-white shade. Miss Jeanne Chauvel was Avearing sunset pink charmeuse with shadoAV hem of lace. . . , , Miss Edna Gill's gown was of black georgette combined with forest green. Miss Lyle Johnston's frock Avas iris blue taffeta. . Miss Rita Hill was in shrimp pink chenille and tulle. Phlox pink chiffon encrusted with silver beads was Avorn by Miss Nance MarMiss Monk had on a frock of leafgreen georgette dipping at the back. Miss Harding was wearing daffodil yellow georgette smartly beaded in jet. Miss Me Glasha n had on palm green georgette and fine silver lace. Miss Rose Ayres, Avine and black and silA-er bead-encrusted chiffon frock. Black and green taffeta, cleverly combined, Avas worn by Miss Best Miss McGregor’s gown of black chiffon had a smart shoulder cape lined with &I Miss MacSporan’s frock was of ivory georgette Avith uneven hemline. Miss Rita Cornaga wore a slim-fitting opalescent sequined gown. * . Miss Sharpe had on ivory flowered mnon with wide pink sash. . A lacquer, red lace gown was chosen by Miss Rapson.
