CHRISTMAS TROTTING
AUCKLAND CLUB’S FINE CARNIVAL One of the greatest annual events on the New Zealand lightharness calendar is the Christmas carnival held at Alexandra Park, • under the auspices of the Auck- | land Trotting Club. The liberal prizes offered by the j local executive, together with the select classes arranged in the various events, encourages owners of high-grade trot- i tors and pacers to visit Epsom each year. The presence of the top-notch-ers naturally entices the public to patronise the carnival, with the result that there is an appreciable co-operation between the club, owners and the general public. The attractive schedule promoted for the 1929 fixture has proved no exception to the rule as far as the support of owners is concerned, and the acceptances for the forthcoming meeting are decidedly satisfactory. High class is represeted in every instance, and everything points to the Auckland Christmas trotting carnival being a huge success. Acceptances for the first day are as follow: INTRODUCTORY HANDICAP Of £300; limit 4.50; 2 mjjes (Trotters).
