The golden jubilee of the Thames Hu h Sclioul will be celebrated on April R*. 1930. The following executive has been •-tected to formulate plans for tho celebrations: —Messrs. E. E. Adams (.chairman), W. I£. Baker. J. Kernick, K. 1 l therington. A. G. Fisher, and Messrs. Wilcox, k\ Boyle, and N. Renshaw. Messrs. W. 11. Baker and A. G. Fisher aro tho joint secretaries. It is anticipated that a large num;H v of ex-pupils of the school, now resident in Auckland, will attend the celebrations. • * • The Thames Harbour Board has collected 83.4 per cent, of the annual rate. It was decided at Wednesday’s mi otlng that no rates be left unpaid. The treasurer stated that the balance in hand at the beginning of the year had diminished by £1,423 8s 6d. The chairman, Mr. Henry Lowe, said the maximum rate that could be struck was 15d in the £. The position necesiacted the board striking an additional rate of 1 3-Sd in tho £, to take effect from March 1, 1930.
