VICTORIA LEAGUE GIRLS AT EVELYN FIRTH HOME ‘ A very happy function took place oa Thursday afternoon when the Girls* Branch of the Victoria League held its Christmas bridge party at the '3veTyn Firth Homo for returned soldiers. Prizes for the day were won by Mr Twogood and Mr. Bond. Ths first prize for the year was won by Mr. Gordon. Other yearly prizes were, awarded to Mr. Beaumont, Mr. bkillev Mr. Ray and Mr. Chaney. After afternoon tea and strawberries had been served. Mr. Roberts, on behalf of the men. ably thanked the girls’ committee for the happy afternoons they had spent together.
