Mrs. Neill reported that ihe One. hunga branch has been busy as usual' its activities including visiting Ua ’ ins and motor drives for iniirn lur v patients. The Onehunga Band ofTcrej to give quarterly concerts at the infirmary commencing in January, H „ offer which was gratefully accepted Mrs. Donaldson. Newmarket, re. ported that subscriptions had come in very well for the Christmas tree and arrangements for this were well in hand. The Mount Eden branch, with Mrs. Potter as president, contributed S 7 garments to the depot for November, and the visiting committee visited the hospital regularly distributing books, flowers and cigarettes. Families were visited in their homes, and helo given where needed. v The City Sewing Guild, with Mrs. Carr-Smith as convener, had a very busy month. 96 articles having been contributed to tlio depot, and presents for the children in hospital were being prepared and collected. Donations of 96 garments, 4a gramophone records books, papers, jam and eggs were re.’ eeived at the depot during November Tlie outside workers contributed ]j garments, and a parcel was also re. eeived from the Birkdalc Women's Institute. Garments numbering 253 were distributed among 49 families during the month, and 16 families were helped with food orders direct from the depot. It was decided to set aside part of the money raised by the Auckland Jewish Women’s Benevolent Society at the charity ball for the purchase of two chairs to loan out to patients who have left hospital. This had been a long-felt want.
