ENJOYABLE CONCERT VICTORIA LEAGUE GIRLS VISIT INFIRMARY
An enjoyable concert was given at the Auckland Infirmary on Tuesday evening by the Victoria League Girls’ Committee. Songs were contributed by Miss Marjorie Fair; duets by Miss Ray King and Miss Mizpah Hutchison; recitations and sketches by Miss Nance St. Clair Whyte, Miss Mavis McCulloch, Miss Louise Jourdain, Miss Eilene Adkins, and Miss Nancy Redstone; piano solos by Miss Linda de Renzy, Miss Edna Ballantyne, Miss Ena Langsford, and Miss Lulu Ballantyne: chorus songs were given by the Misses King, Pragnell, Clark, Edmonds, and Hutchison. Mr. Gray assisted the committee with conjuring experiments, which were greatly appreciated. Sweets were distributed to all the inmates. Mr. Foster proposed a vote of thanks to the committee, and the singing of the National Anthem brought a happy evening to a close.
