P. AND T. SALARIES

ARBITRATION WANTED "POLITICAL INTRIGUING” Press Association CHRISTCHURCH, Today. Strong disapproval of the failure of the Government to give consideration to the claims of the rank and file of the P. and T. Service for salary adjustment was expressed tonight by a meeting of the North Canterbury section of the P. and T. Employees’ Association. The meeting resolved: “That in view of the recent political intriguing, whereby officers were deprived of a long-overdue increase in salary, this section is of the opinion that little can be expected from the present Parliament. as constituted, and recommends that salary increases be adjusted by arbitration.”
