“NOT GENTLEMANLY"
MAYOR’S TALK OF “DUDS” THE reference by the Mayor, Mr. George Baildon, at Thursday’s council meeting to “duds’* among the applicants for the posi--1 tion of City Engineer was dis--5 cussed by a meeting of privately- } practising civil engineers in the city yesterday. 1 It was considered that such a reference applied to professional men, who had submitted their 1 credentials in good faith, was neither justified nor gentlemanly. Members were surprised that such a term should have been used by the Mayor. i _ _
