The many friends of the Canterbury trainer, Roy Berry, will be pleased to learn that he is making a good recovery from his recent indisposition and is now out of hospital. Owing to Berry's absence from the Forbury Park meeting, the Auckland-owned horses, Jean McElwyn, Haydock and Bingen Starr, were driven by C. Humphries, who is connected with the Templeton stable.
