“BIGGEST PARASITE”
DEAN INGE ATTACKED BY MR. COOK
“INSULTING THE WORKERS’’ United — By Telegraph—Copyright Reed. 9 a.m. LONDON, Sunday. “It is time Dean Inge had his wings clipped, " said Mr. A. J. Cook, secretary of the Miners’ Federation, speaking at Staines. In the course of a startling attack on the “Gloomy Dean." Mr. Cook said: “He is on the right road to his end. Honest, intelligent workers will not suffer his abuse and arrogance. “It. makes me angry when the dean suggests that the unemployed miners are a swarm of parasites, when he is one of Britaiu’s biggest parasites, both as priest and scribe, living in the lap of luxury with his thousands of pounds a year. “Never happy unless he is insulting the workers or their representatives, Dean Inge is the greatest contributor to class-war in this country.”
