BIG-GAME FISHING
ANGLERS GOING TO RUSSELL
From Our Own Correspondent RUSSELL., Today
Mr. C. Alma Baker. C.8.E., the wellknown deep-sea angler, left England for New Zealand on October 16. He is travelling by the Rosmac, via Bombay and Penang, where he has arge rubber plantation interests. He then goes on to Australia, and will arrive in New Zealand some time in December. Mr. Baker, who has two large sheep runs in the Dominion, will remain in New Zealand until the end of May. He intends to spend some weeks *mong the big game fish at the Bay of Islands.
Mr. and Mrs. J. Stellin and family will motor from Wellington at Christmas and purpose spending a few weeks at Otehei Bay. Mr. Stellin is anxious to try his hand at the big game fish lor the first time.
Messrs. H. and S. Barrett and Mr. N. Burt, of Wellington, have made their reservations for deep-sea fishing and will arrive at the Bay of Islands at Christmas.
Mr. and Mrs. H. C. Parr, of Hereford, England, will return to the fishing grounds on November 30. At present they are touring the South Island.
A p-arty of wool-buyers has decided to have a little respite from their labours after the last of the December wool sales and Intend spending their vacation on the deep-sea fishing grounds off Cape Brett.
The weather for the past week has been excellent for fishing and inako sharks are plentiful.
