INTERESTING WEDDING
AN EMBROIDERED GOWN EMPTAGE—SHANNON 1 An interesting wedding took place |at trt. Chad's Church. Remucra. on j Wednesday afternoon, when Miss i Kathleen Shannon, younger daughter { of Mr. and Mrs. F. Shannon, was married to Mr. George Emptage. third ' son of Captain and Mrs. Emptage, of -Motu Ora Island. The Rev. T. Part{ridge, of I’apatoetoe. performed flic cci emony. j Given away by her father, the bride i looked charming in a frock of white ! crepe de chine, the cross-over corsage being trimmed with silver thread embroidery. The skirt was long, with a front panel trimmed with sprays of orange blossom, and her veil of embroidered lace fell from a Russian coronet of orange blossoms. A shower bouquet of Christmas lilies and white sweet peas was carried. Miss Winifred Ross was bridesmaid, and she wore a pretty frock of paleshrimp pink crepe de chine, with frills and her hat was of toning shades. A bouquet of pink roses and maidenhair | fern was carried. 1 Mr. J. Emptage was best man. A reception was afterward held it the residence of the bride's parents, where Mrs. Shannon received the guests in a frock of navy marocain. with hat to tone. Mrs Emptage. the bridegroom’s -mother, -wore a frock of black silk, with gold embroideries, and a black hat. Her bouquet was of crimson roses. { Mrs. Alan Grey, sister of the bride. I wore brown crepe de chine and fur.
