RUNAWAY LORRY WHEEL

CRASHES THROUGH SHOP WINDOW From Our Own Correspondent NEW PLYMOUTH, Today. A spare wheel rolling off a lorry which was going down Devon Street on Thursday evening did damage estimated at £SO when it bounded down the hill and crashed through the plateglass window of a fruit shop owned by Mr. J. Bamforth, at the corner of Devon Street and Currie Street. The wheel dashed through the glass and into the shop, just missing Mr. Bamforth. He also escaped the flying glass, some of which was thrown 20ft into the shop. The window was a pane 12ft long by 7ft high, and it all the fruit behind it were ruined. /
