THE REASON WHY
LTHOUGH as a three-year-old f Explosion proved a high-class horse, he failed to make good the following season, when he was purchased by owner Moodabe at a big figure. The on.y return made by the son of Nelson Bingen was a small stake at Whangarei, This season A. Julian has been endeavouring to find out the cause of the trouble with the big-striding pacer, who, at times on the tracks, has shown fine form. After his successful essays at Whangarei arid Epsom recently the trainer decided to ease the horse and treat him to a course of physic. The result has been an eye-opener to Explosion’s connections and during the last few days no less than 300 bots have been removed from the pacer’s inside. That he could race as wel. as he has done under the circumstances proves what a solid customer he must be.
