WORRY CAUSES DEATH
SUICIDE IN NELSON STREET WOMAN TAKES HER LIFE Worry over the fact that she had to give evidence in the Supreme Court on a charge of forgery was considered by Detective-Sergeant Kelly to be largely responsible for the suicide of Annie Rogers, a widow, aged 58. An inquest concerning her death was held by Mr. F. K. Hunt, coroner, this afternoon. Mrs. Rogers, whose health was bad, lived at 1178 Nelson Street, and was found dead by a passer-by, who noticed the door open yesterday morning. Detective-Sergeant Kelly said that Mrs. Rogers had to give evidence in a case at the Supreme Court and this had worried her. A verdict of suicide was returned by the coroner.
