WON IN A CANTER United F.A.—By Telegraph—Copyright Reed. 10.55 a.m. SYDNEY, Today. Correction. —Phar Dap broke the record by a quarter of a second, not one second. The “Telegraph” says: As expected, the Derby was nothing but a Cup gallon for Phar Lap, as he won on the bit. The race was all over at the distance. The gelding was then well in from., and he was not troubled over the re'mainder of the journey to win in a canter.
