‘APPEAL FOR REPRIEVE Press Association DUNEDIN, Today. A PETITION by Mr. C. J. L. White for the reprieve of William Henry Br&uman, sentenced to death last Thursday for the murder of his wife, has been forwarded to the Executive Council. Mr. White was the condemned man’s counsel, and he rehearses the facts and pleadings of the trial, with the jury’s recommendation to mercy.
