FATAL MOTOR SMASH
WOMAN KILLED WHEN CARS COLLIDED THREE PEOPLE INJURED Press Association MASTERTON,- Today. A fatal motor-car collision occurred t the corner of Workshop Road and |ueen Street, Masterton, just before Jne o’clock last evening, as a result If which one woman was killed and liree injured. Mrs. John Darling Smith, of MasterDn, was killed and Mr. J. D. Smith, lusband of deceased. Miss Lilian Ruslell and Miss Grace Jacobsen were Bjured. Mrs. Smith died a few minutes after he accident. The injured people were idmitted to the Masterton Hospital wffering with cuts and abrasions. Mr. imith’s injuries were not serious The collision occurred between a Ive-seater touring car, owned and Iriven. by Mr. Smith, and a service car tired for the evening by the driver, Hr. A. J. Buckley. Miss Russell was i passenger in Mr. Smith’s car and tas thrown on to the road. Miss lacobsen was in the service car. Mrs. Smith was sitting in the front it the car and received the full force if the impact.
