HOUSE BURNED DOWN
BUCKET BRIGADE’S GOOD WORK Press Association IXVERCARGILL, Tuesday. A six-roomed house at Underwood, owned by Xew Zealand Alilk Products, Uimited. and occupied by Air. William Brighton, was destroyed by fire last evening. Air. Brighton was absent at the time. There was no insurance on the contents, and the owner estimates his loss at several hundred pounds. Valuable work by a bucket brigade prevented the fire from spreading t>> adjoining premises, but the wall of the house next door, occupied by Air. J. R. Battin, was badly burned.
