Obituary

MR. C. E. LUXFORD An old resident of Wellington. Mr. Charles Edward Luxford, died on Wednesday. Mr. Luxford, who joined the staff of Te Aro House when it was founded by Mr. James Smith, opened a butchery business in Newtown in 1889.

Tie was a prominent member of the Trinity Methodist Church, and also a member of the Newtown School Committee. Mr. Luxford was a brother of the late Rev. J. A. Luxford, formerly of Auckland.
