TOMORROW’S REUNION AT TOWN HALL INTERESTING FUNCTION Pioneer settlers of Auckland who landed here S 7 years ago will celebrate the anniversary of that event at the New Zealand Old Colonists’ annual reunion in the Town Hall tomorrow. A large number of old colonists, who have lived in the Dominion for 50 years or more, is expected to attend the function, over which the Mayor, Mr. George Baildon, will preside. A religious service will be conducted first, during which Archbishop Averill will deliver an address. A prayer of thanksgiving will be offered by the Rev. George Budd, and the company will join in reciting the Lord's Prayer. The hymn, ’Lead, Kindly Light.'* will be sung, whilst Miss Edna Peace will sing “Abide With Me*’ and “The Beautiful City of Rest” (Jude). After a collection has been taken up in aid of the association’s funds, the service will conclude with the benediction. The company will be addressed by the Mayor before the concert programme opens. Led by Mr. Alan MeElwain. the gathering will join in community singing, and the New Zealand Old Colonists’ choir will sing part songs, specially arranged by Mr. McElwain. and Mr. Ogilvie will take the solo part in the singing of “Auld Lang Syne" and “Oh, Dem Golden Slippers.” The company will then be provided with refreshments in the supper room.
