CHARGE OF ATTEMPTED SUICIDE ONEHUNGA CASE REMANDED At the request of the police. Mr. J. E. Cowell, J.P.. »n the Onehunga Court this morning ordered the suppression of the name of a marr ed man. aged 45. who was charged wrth attempted suicide. Sergeant J. A. Cruickshank told the Bench that the accused had tried I to do away with himself by inhaling ' coal gas and that the case was sur--1 rounded by most distressing circum- ' stances. He asked lor a remand ! until October 16. and that accused be placed under medical observation, i This was granted and the accused was ordered to appear at the Magistrate's Court.
