RAIN IN COUNTRY
BENEFIT TO PASTURES From Our Own Correspondent CAMBRIDGE. Today. After an unusually lengthy dry spell welcome rain commenced to fall last night and continued intermittently during the night, and there are showery conditions this morning. The rain will greatly benefit the pastures. For the l'4 hours ending 9 a.m. today ,66in. has fallen. HALF AN INCH AT HAMILTON HAMILTON. Today. ! Over half an inch of rain fell dur- ! Ing the night and will prove very beneficial to pastures, particularly as it follows a spell of sunny, warm weather. Pastures are backward in the Waikato and more warm rain is needed to affect ! the dairy production favourably.
