RAMBLERS’ FOOTBALL CLUB DANCE AT BIRKENHEAD The Northcote and Birkenhead Ramblers’ Football Club held its annual prize night and dance in Victoria Hall. Birkenhead, on Saturday evening. hall looked gay with its decorations of coloured streamers, yellow and black, the club’s colours. Alr. J. Batty successfully carried out the duties of M.C., and Miss P. Lanigan’s Orchestra supplied the dance music. Aliss AI. Sutcliffe and Air. L. Taylor were the winners of the spot waltz. At the supper interval, opportunity was taken to present medals to the most consistent player in each team by Mr. VV. B. Barlow, patron of the club, the winners being Air. H. Simpson, senior team, donated by Air. Les Purdy; Mr. F. Wilkins, 6a junior team, donated by Air. J. Lynch; Air. B. Beaur, third grade, donated by Mr. B. L. Brown; Air. G. Green, 6b team, donated by Air. B. Wilkie. Air. Barlow congratulated the players and the club in the way all had “played the game,” the senior team having come third for the championship, which he hoped they would win next season. Among those present were; Airs. G. Ross, who wore black crepe de chine relieved with lemon; Mrs. May, frock of lemon crepe de chine; Mrs. G. Pike, crepe de chine and georgette frock with appliqued flowers; Airs. D. Wilkie, black ring velvet with uneven hem; Airs. A. Thorburn, pink crepe de chine with posy to tone; Aliss O. Kindley, moonlight blue taffeta; Aliss L. Beecher, jade green crepe de chine frock; Miss E. Steele, delphinium blue crepe de chine and shawl; Aliss AI. Alasters, pale pink tinsel with fur trimmings; AHss V. Thorburn, pale pink tinsel relieved with gold lace; Aliss D. Aliles, red georgette and tulle with uneven hem; Miss E. Ross, green georgette and silver lace; Miss Irene Ross, shell pink crepe de chine with insets of gold lace; Aliss B. Ross, blush rose crepe de chine and coffee lace and posy: Aliss Crombie, green embossed satin and silver. Aliss Rene Taylor had chosen mist blue taffeta, with uneven hem, and posy; Miss Rulla Taylor, frock of gold lace; Miss Sutcliffe, sea green georgette with hankerchief skirt; Miss E. Wilkins, apple green lace, with uneven hem; Miss AI. Yellarids, mist blue georgette with posy to match; Aliss A'. Nickalls, eau de nil lace and satin with uneven hem; Aliss Eveline Kimberley (Devonport) crimson georgette with sequined trimmings; Miss E. Collins, green floral georgette with shawl; Miss T. Stinear, white satin frock; Miss I. Thomas, black velvet, with appli- ; qued flowers on skirt in pink and blue; j Aliss V. Cssher, almond green chiffon velvet, with Vandyke skirt; Aliss 11. Lunny, green crepe de chine and pink tulle, with uneven hem. Miss K. Morris was in light capucine georgette with shawl to tone; Miss A. Howard, pink georgette relieved with diamente; Aliss F. Swinburne, cameo pink georgette frock; Aliss P. Wheeler, pink taffeta and silver lace; Aliss Ruby Hayson, powder blue taffeta with embroidered flowers; Aliss T. Coucli, mauve net with uneven hem; Aliss Z. Alentzer, sea green satin beaute and georgette, with shawl; Aliss K. Bonohue, blush pink satin frock.
