Jolly Evening at the Click Clack
NOVEL CABARET ITEMS Brilliant lighting effects, with gailj'coioured streamers, gave the Click Clack Cabaret an air of festivity on Saturday evening, when a large number of dancers attended to enjoy the excellent music provided by the cabaret orchestra. Balloons and confetti were showered from the ceiling during the dances, adding charm and colour to the panorama of delightful frocks. A special feature of the evening consisted of items by the Masked Singer, who gave “OF Man River” and “CurlyHeaded Baby” in a style that was much appreciated by all. AMONG THOSE PRESENT Airs. Jeffreys wore a frock of black charmeuse and silver lace. Mrs. Eecles was in alice blue georgette witli floral motifs. Mrs. Sproul chose a frock of pale blue georgette. Mrs. Bruce had on a black beaded georgette frock. Mrs. Farquhar (Wellington) was in a frock of shell-pink taffeta. Mrs. I. Barry (Sydney) was wearing a prettj r floral georgette. Daffodil georg€;tte and gold lame were chosen by Mrs. Barker (Palmerston North). Mrs. Gregory (Sydney) wore' a chic frock of black ring velvet. Miss Macßeady chose a charming frock of georgette in pale cameo pink. Miss At. Jeffreys was in green crepe de chine and diamente. Miss Greta Heron had chosen a frock of cerise georgette and silver lace. Miss Nancy Redstone was in pale blue raffeta with a petalled skirt. Miss Molly Overton favoured ivory satin and georgette. Mrs. Barker had on a smart frock of apricot crepe de chine. Miss D. Mason wore a frock of flame taffeta. A frock of black ring velvet was chosen by Miss White. Airs. Fowler was wearing crimsonbeaded georgette with uneven hemline. . Miss A. Haysen was in a frock of lime georgette. Oriental lame, ankle-length, was chosen by Aliss M. Tattersall. Aliss I. Bond was in a frock of ivory satin. Aliss Healey was wearing a silver lame frock. IN BLACK AND GOLD Aliss Storey had on black georgette and gold lame. Miss Douglas was in black taffeta. A frock of flame taffeta was favoured by Aliss Lamb. Aliss Brodie was wearing eau de nil crepe de chine. Miss Sampson wore bet over ivory crepe de_ chine. Nancarrow was in cream georgette and lace. Aliss I. Lyons had on a charming frock of lemon satin and tulle. Aliss Allen was in black georgette, with floral motifs. Afiss Jlvert wore a frock of salmon pink lace over satin. Miss B. Smytho was in rose pink taffeta ami lace. Miss Redwood was wearing a frock of pale pink georgette and gold lame. Aliss G. Ellis was in black embossed chenille georgette. Miss Zita Alontgomerie (Te Aroha) wore midnight blue taffeta and silver lace. A chic frock of crimson embossed chenille velvet was chosen by Aliss Wilson. Aliss Paul wore a frock of black beaded chiffon. Aliss W. Cooper was wearing rose pink embossed chenille with lace. Miss Irene Green had chosen a frock of cyclamen shaded crepe fleuri.
