BIRTHDAY PARTY
VICTORIA LEAGUE HONOURS MISS MOWBRAY ENJOYABLE EVENING A most enjoyable birthday party wa» held in the Victoria League rooms on Thursday evening by the Girls’ Committee, in honour of Aliss Mowbray, president of the league. The games were arranged by the Misses W. Kent, Coleman, Thomson and Rainger. Two most amusing competitions were held, and were won by Aliss Ivy Underwood and Aliss Alerle Cox. Songs were given by Aliss Thelma St. Clair Whyte and Afiss Alarjorie Fair, and recitations by Miss Louise Jourdain and Aliss Mavis McCulloch. Airs. Rickerby, chairman of the committee, in proposing the health of Aliss Mowbray, said how proud all the girls were to be under the leadership of their president, and how pleased they were to have her in their midst again after her illness. The toast was drunk with musical honours. Aliss Alowbray feelingly replied. Supper concluded a very happy time. The hostesses for the evening were: Airs. B. Ewen, Miss Phyllis Aickin, Aliss Alollie Hay, Aliss G, McConnell, Aliss Alavis AlcCulloch, Aliss E. Stubbs, Aliss Alargaret Clarke, Aliss W* Tippetts and Aliss V. Fox. Among those present were: Aliss Alowbray, Airs. J. B. Macfarlane. Airs. L. S. Rickerby, Mrs. Wilde-Broun. Aliss Xation, Aliss Devore, Aliss Dorothy Steele, Aliss Scarborough, Miss Rona Thomson.
