CARNIVAL DANCE AT BIRKENHEAD A PLEASANT EVENING A dance vras held in the Victoria Hall, Birkenhead, on Thursday evening in the interests of the Birkdale Queen, Aliss Dot Casey. The dance music supplied by Aliss Stayte’s orchestra was greatly appreciated. | Aliss Casey chose a dainty frock of cherry red crepe de chine and silver lace, with skirt dipping to ankles at back. Among those present were: Aliss R. Kelly, who was wearing mauve ninon encrusted with silver beads; Airs. Ripley, navy and red crepe de chine frock; Aliss AI. Stokes, turquoise blue crepe de chine; Miss X. Stokes, jade green crepe de chine relieved with silver lace; Alias Crombie, lemon crepe de chine and silver lace; Aliss B. St&yte, apple green crepe de chine, Aliss D. Chetwynd, red crepe de chine with uneven hems of gold lace and shawl; Aliss Lorna Alackie, green crepe de chine relieved with i gold sequins and black shawl; Aliss F. Connor, blue ring velvet with sequins trimmings; Miss P. Le Clerc turquoise blue satin and lemor georgette; Aliss I. Alackie, lavendei frock with uneven hem, and ispaxusL shawl.
