FOUND BESIDE GAS-RING

MAN SAVED FROM DEATH TEACHERS’ DISCOVERY Two women teachers in the Curran Street school this morning found a man lying near a gas-ring in the teachers’ room with a rug over his head. First-aid proved effective and the man recovered consciousness. He was later arrested. The man, L. Dannefard, aged about 40, was employed at the school during the janitor’s absence. He was seen examining the gas-ring earlier in the morning, but it was thought at the time that he was a plumber and little notice was taken of his movements.
