DUNEDIN’S UNEMPLOYED
FIGURES TO DATE Viewed from all aspects, unemployment is comparatively light in Dunedin and the figures reveal that the position is no worse than at this time last year. The number of applicants now on the roll at the Labour Department offices is 175. A year ago today 168 men were registered. There have been numbers of inquiries as to work on the new irrigation dam at Poolburn. but no labour will be engaged for the construction until the road is built through to the dam sight.
