TE KUITI, Monday. At an auction sale hold on Friday of land at Te Kuiti known as the Cotter’s Estate, on the Waitete Road, the Maniupoto Rugby Union purchased a section of 82 acres for the purpose of a sports ground. Suc h a facility has been a long-felt want in Te Kuiti. With the acquisition of this desirable site a revival of interest in sporting circles 13 confidently anticipated. Other quarter-acre sections were Hold ar prices ranging from £2O to £3O each. They went to local buyers. The Hal© created considerable interest in the town.
