“ALL ROADS TO AUCKLAND”

SIGNPOSTS IN PROVINCE OTAGO MOTORIST’S OPINIONS (From Our Own Correspondent) DUNEDIN, Today. In the Auckland Province, all roads lead to the city, says an Otago motorist, recently returned from a tour of the North Island, commenting on the signboards erected in the country by motoring bodies. Wellington, he says, has made very thorough provision for the accurate guidance of motorists, but in the province he found that, while there was ample direction from township to township, there was very little to make him feel confident that he was on the shortest road to the city. He thinks that though the signposting in Otago is well done, something might be learned from Wellington regarding the indication of “one-car” bridges.
