VICTORIA LEAGUE
EVER-READY COMMITTEE < MEETS The Victoria League Kver Ready Committee held a meting in the league rooms on Friday afternoon. Airs. John Reid presided over a large attendance of members. The secertary reported that the party given at the Knox Home was greatly appreciated by the patients; also that the bridge party given in aid of the committee’s household stall at the Rev. Jasper Calder's forthcoming “Better Times- Bazaar” realised £9 los. All arrangements were made for the stall, for which members were asked to gather in as much as possible. A letter of thanks was received from the SL John Ambulance Society, thanking the committee for taking part in the recent street collection, and informing the committee that it had collected £55. The committee decided to help at the street collection in aid of the Society for the Protection of AVomen. Help wa§ also offered in the way of produce. The committee decided to take a cake stall at the Victoria League Daffodil “At Home” to be held in the league rooms. Alembers were also asked for contributions of flowers and were urged to interest all their friends and so make the “At Home” most successful.
