rOVERTY BAY CUT OFF WIND BREAKS INSULATORS Press Association GISBORNE, Today. The Government transmission line between the Waikaremoana powerhouse and Gisborne failed yesterday, apparently owing to high winds causing’ the line to swing and to jump an insulator, burning through a crossarm and dragging down the next set of poles. Tho trouble apparently effects two or three miles ot transmission line and may take three days to repair. In tho meantime Poverty Bay draws its electrical supply from the Gisborne stand -by plant.
