KAIKOHE NOTES
The annual meeting of the Kaikolie Agricultural, Pastoral and Horticultural Association was held recently. Mr. J. H. Orr presided. There was a large attendance of members. The chairman commented upon the success of the last show, emphasising the high standard of the sheep sections. The balance sheet disclosed a credit balance of £26 cash in hand, with no liabilities, and assets £76. With a view to encouraging entries in the dairy classes, it was decided to alter the usual show day from March 17 to the second Saturday in February. Votes of thanks were passed to all outgoing officers. The following officers were elected: Patron, Mr. H. M. Rushworth, M.P.; president. Mr. A. H. Wright; vicepresidents. Messrs. F. W. Orr. W. Pole, I. Booth, and the Rev. J. .J. Heard: committee (A. and P. sectionL Messrs. F. E. Barnard. F. F. Dibble. F. Gaede, C. A Mattson. J. H. Orr. J. G. Ritchie. G. D. Slatter. A. Sowman, J. Standish, (horticultural section) Mesdames A. Kerry. W. Shaw. W. J. Worthington and A. G. Wright, with power to add to their number: auditor. Mr. IT. A. ITeslop: treasurer, Mr. F. W. Bean; secrctray, Mr. G. E. S. Brodie.
