Cheery Night at Click Clack

Farewell to Mr. & Mrs. Clyde Howley MANY DANCERS ATTEND A very cheery farewell evening was given to Mr. Clyde Howley at the Click Clack Cabaret last evening. A large number of Mr. Howley* 8 friends attended and spent a very enjoyable evening, A bright programme had been specially arranged for the occasion. It included items by Mr. and Mrs. Howley, Mr. T. Tuohey, the Bohemian duo and Miss Peggy Reilly. A novel idea was introduced when the various orchestras from other cabarets each gave an item. During the evening the manager, Mr. Cassrels, expressed regret at the departure of Mr. Howley and wished him every success in his career at Fiji and later at the Malay States. Mr. Howley responded. Among those present were: Mrs. Clyde IJowley wore a pailletted frock of jet and jet and ravenswing blue. Mrs. Dalton had on deep capucine georgette, with uneven hemline. Miss Raelly wore peach pink chiffon. Miss Leray’s frock was of silver tinsel and frilled pink net. Mrs. Bl ight had on a" black Chantilly lace gown. Miss Madge Alien chose turquoise georgette, with shoulder spray to tone. Mrs. S. Beattie’s gown was of shrimp pink georgette and diamente. Miss Joan Lyons was wearing ivory chenille embossed georgette. Miss Forbes had on an uneven length frock of ivory chiffon. Miss Ferguson wore chartreuse green georgette, with petal-pointed hem. Miss Dorothy Wynyard’s frock of silver lace was worn over cedar rose georgette. Miss A. Sullivan was in a becoming lace gown of lido blue and silver. Miss Bryce wore a frilled frock of buttercup yellow satin charmeuse. Miss V. Gee was in a peacock green georgette gown embroidered with silver beads. Miss A. G. Stewart was in cherry red chenille and petal-pointed tulle. Miss E. Rhodes was wearing a frock of turquoise taffeta and rose georgette. Miss D. M. Brown had on ivory chenille spotted tulle, with gracefully dipping' hemline. Miss Shand was wearing cameo pink frilled georgette. Mrs. Clinch had chosen a smart black georgette gown embossed in ivory. Mrs. Albert Xeville was in a gown of silver lace. Miss Doreen Rhodes had on leaf green taffeta and silver lace. Miss Pamela Ryan’s frock was of pompadour pink beaded georgette. Miss M. Tate had on pastel pink georgette and lame. Miss Hazel Rodgers was in a silver beaded pink georgette frock. Miss Eva Wilson’s frock was of black georgette and lace. Miss R. McGregor had on a gown of ivory taffeta, with hip bow. Miss H. Hej’ward chose ivory georgette and silver lace. Miss O. Norman’s frock was of ivory satin and lace. Miss G. Leatherbarrow had on a fringed black georgette gown.
