ENGLISH BOY FARMERS

SALVATION ARMY WORK Planning to take up farming in New Zealand, a party of 32 English Salvation Army boys arrived in Auckland by the Rimutaka on Saturday. The lads have been drawn from the Hadleigh Farm Colony in Essex and will go to Putaruru for three months’ training before entering jobs which have been guaranteed them. The boys are accompanied by StaffCaptain H. Parsons, of international headquarters. He is secretary to Commissioner D. C. Lamb, director of migration and international social secretary, who accompanied by his wife visited New Zealand some time ago. Captain Parsons will return to England after a business tour of the Dominion.
