PROGRESS OF BIG SCHEME ( From Our Own Correspondent) HAMILTON, Saturday. The big waterworks scheme provided for in the £40.000 loan recently sanctioned is gradually taking shape. Tenders for the new pumping plant have been let. and the concrete foundations for the filters have been laid. At the reservoir site, where the new tower will be erected, excavations have been completed and the area is now in readiness for the contractors.
