A check of the receipts from the street collection which was made recently revealed that the public had responded to the extent of £1,042. As at least £1,600 is required for the work immediately in sight of the association. efforts have been made over the past week to augment the collection, with the result that a further £3S7 has been received in donations. The officers of the association are continuing their efforts to raise the balance required in the belief that there are many citizens who will be ready to contribute once the need is made public.
