KAWAKAWA A. AND P. SHOW

The Kawakawa Agricultural and Pastoral Association held its annual meeting at Kawakawa. The Hon. Vernon H. Reed, M.L.C., presided. There was a good attendance of members. The chairman, when moving the adoption of the report and balancesheet, commented on tho absence of farming members at the meeting. The balance-sheet showed a credit balance of £25, and was adopted. The secretary, Mr. S. W. Smith, stated ho would be unable to undertake the duties of secretary this season, and he was accorded a hearty vote of thanks for his services. It was decided that the next show bo held on Saturday, February 1, 1930. * ‘ Tho following officers were elected*. President, the Hon. V. H. Reed, M.L.C.; vice-presidents, Messrs. T. J. V. Dunlop, E. C. Clarke; treasurer, Mr. E. H. Blundell; secretary, Mr. Roy Mcßae; auditors, Messrs. H. C. Blundell and A. Aicken; committee, Messrs L. Cleary, M. Cleary, G. Davis, Joe. Doel, C. Leaity, B. Lemon, R. Mcßae, sen., W. E. Noy, D. Penny, C. Smith, S. W. Smith and B. C. Squire. Messrs. Reed and Penny offered to replace their cups won outright and Messrs. S. Kitson and W. Lee offered :i cup each. The offers were accepted and tho donors were thanked.
