. Under date August 7, the London office of the New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Company cabled as follows:
“Butter, choicest salted, 171 s to 1725; cheese, white, 85s to 86s; coloured. S9s to 90s. Both markets dull. Newton King, Ltd., from their principals, R. and W. Davidson, Ltd., London, under date August 9: —Butter, market slow; salted, 169 s to 1725; unsalted, 168 s to 1725; wheys, firsts, 158 s; seconds, 1545; cheese, market quiet; coloured, S9s to 90s; white, 85s to 86s.
