“THE TWO BLACK CROWS”

THEIR FIRST TALKIE COMING The first Paramount all-talking picture starring the "Two Black Crows” (Moran and Mack) has been retitled “Why Bring that Up?” Thousands of gramophone enthusiasts throughout New Zealand will be interested to see what the "Two Black Crows’’ actually look like. The picture is now nearing completion and will be released during the year. “Why Bring that Up?” has a fine dramatic story written by Octavus Roy Cohen, the well-known contributor to the "Saturday Evening Post.” Moran and Mack are introduced in their true characters as vaudeville entertainers, and they are seen and heard in many of the acts that have made them famous. They also sing a song, "The Early Bird,” which was specially written for the picture. One of the chief supporting roles is played by Harry Green, who played for two years in Australia and New Zealand in "Give and Take,” and other shows. Evelyn Brent plays the feminine lead and others in the cast include Jack Luden, Helen Lynch and Freeman Wood.
